This cultural mediation program wishes to proudly showcase the talents of creators from sea to sea.
On the eve of the celebrations surrounding the 100th anniversary of the birth of internationally renowned Canadian artist Jean Paul Riopelle, the Riopelle Foundation, in partnership with Culture pour tous, has initiated a pan-Canadian cultural mediation program entitled Dialogues: Encounters with Riopelle’s Oeuvre from Sea to Sea.

With the aim of engaging the public and artists across the country in an exchange that will allow the general public to (re)discover, understand and share this essential part of their heritage, the selected projects will be completed during the centenary year, in 2023.

The Riopelle Dialogues Program aims to mobilise artists, cultural workers, organisations and local communities to carry out initiatives in the public space based on artistic co-creation or cultural mediation with a social impact, and putting Riopelle’s work in dialogue with the country’s culture, history and heritage.

This Program is made possible by the support of the Government of Canada.

The creation of the Foundation was inspired by the dream of Jean Paul Riopelle, who wished to pass on his passion for art, his vision and inspire the next generation of artists to explore, innovate and surpass their creative potential.
